I decided to wait until I had used my kitchen for a year--- and I still love it! Diane at NSK&B was great to work with. Everyone showed up when they were supposed to, the estimates were solid, minor delays were explained ahead of time (and weren't their fault.) A few minor issues with the sub-contractors--- for example, the trim painter was told to paint the metal surfaces, so he painted the doorbell and it wouldn't ring; the carpenters moved the cabinets over a few inches without checking with the designer, so they had to redo work because it caused a problem with electrical access. On the other hand, the carpenters did little extras for me with the leftover materials. But overall, I would work with them again in a heart beat.Read More

I worked with Andrea to design a built-in, floating, walnut file cabinet for our home. I had a specific look in mind to match our mid-century house. It matches perfectly. Andrea was always prompt with returning emails and came to the house with the owner on several occasions to verify the measurements, aesthetics, etc. The carpenters, Bill and Rob, were extremely professional and detail- oriented. We had NSKB do a complete remodel of a master and guest bath. All new plumbing, cabinets, fixtures, fans, tile work, electricity. This was a large project and was performed in an old high rise building that was difficult for contractors to work in. Moreover, almost all of the coordination between ourselves and the company was done by phone and/or computer. They also painted two sun rooms and the kitchen cabinets. They did a great job and were a pleasure to work with.. I had doubts and worries about doing the job while we living 1200 miles away but it turned out fine and without any major problems. NSKB remodeled the kitchen and family room to create one large great room. They were very knowledgeable about all aspects from providing drawings, obtaining permits, working with the various workmen (plumbers, electricians and carpenters), selecting cabinetry, fixtures, granite and appliances. They appeared when scheduled and called if there was a change. The workmen cleaned up at the end of each day. They addressed and remedied problems on the spot. This job totally transformed my home.
